Welcome to Mantou Assistant (the “App”). The App is provided and operated by Chengdu Baizai Digital Technology (“we”, “us”, or “our”). We respect your privacy and personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how the App processes information when providing local VPN tools, network diagnostics, configuration management.

1. Main Features of the App

The App currently provides the following privacy-relevant feature categories:

• Local VPN tool: starts a dedicated virtual interface for local debugging, technical testing, and local network environment verification;
• Custom network configuration: sets device IP, tunnel IP, subnet mask, auto connect, and related local settings;
• Connection monitoring: displays connection status, connection time, error messages, and local runtime logs;
• Local network diagnostics: displays Wi-Fi information, private LAN IP occupancy, local network service discovery results, and network speed test results;
• Local configuration file handling: recognizes or reads configuration files, device files, or plist files that you place in the App's local directory for local feature decisions and configuration matching;

2. Information We Process and Purposes

Depending on the features you use, the App may process the following information on your device:

• Local network configuration that you enter or save, such as device IP, tunnel IP, subnet mask, configuration name, and auto-connect setting;
• VPN connection status, such as connected/disconnected status, connection time, connection failure messages, and necessary troubleshooting logs;
• Current Wi-Fi and private LAN diagnostic information, such as local IP, subnet range, potentially occupied LAN IPs, local network service discovery results, and speed test results;
• Content necessary for local functionality from configuration files, device files, or plist files that you voluntarily place in or import into the App;
• Local App settings, history, analysis results, cache, and preferences.

This information is used only to complete the features you request, such as setting up local VPN configuration, displaying connection status, running local network diagnostics, performing speed tests, matching local configuration files, or showing results in the App.

The App does not require account registration. Unless you actively use a network-based speed test or content loading feature, we do not send local VPN or local network diagnostic data to third parties.

3. VPN Functionality

The App includes VPN configuration capabilities provided by iOS. This capability is used for local debugging and technical testing, mainly to help users create and manage a local virtual network interface on the device and precisely control the local network environment.

The VPN feature includes:

• Local network tunnel: starts a dedicated virtual interface for development, testing, and local debugging;
• Custom network configuration: sets device IP, tunnel IP, and subnet mask;
• One-tap connection: quickly connects or disconnects and displays clear status;
• Auto connect: optionally starts the local tunnel when the App launches;
• Connection monitoring: tracks connection time, live status, and error messages;
• Log records: stores necessary connection logs locally for troubleshooting.

The VPN feature does not connect to external VPN servers and does not provide commercial VPN, network acceleration, region unlocking, ad tracking, user profiling, or public network monitoring services. All traffic stays on the device and is not used for data collection or external transmission.

The App does not collect, store, upload, or share your browsing content, browsing history, DNS queries, full network traffic content, contacts, photos, precise location, account passwords, or other sensitive personal information through the VPN feature.

4. Local Network Diagnostics and Speed Test

When you use the network diagnostic pages, the App may run the following local checks on the current device and current private LAN:

• Reads current network status and local LAN IP to display Wi-Fi subnet and device address;
• Checks whether IP addresses in the current private LAN may be occupied to help users understand the local network environment;
• Discovers services broadcast on the current LAN for local network debugging;
• Downloads a test resource over HTTPS, or from a speed test URL you enter, to calculate download speed, peak speed, and average speed.

These checks are used only to display network status and assist troubleshooting. IP occupancy checks and local service discovery run only within the current private LAN. They are not used to scan public networks, identify a person, or upload results to our servers.

The speed test sends a network request to the speed test URL. If you enter a custom URL, the request is sent to that URL; if you use the default URL, the request is used only to calculate network speed.

5. Local Configuration Files and Device Files

To support local mode decisions, configuration matching, or device environment recognition, the App may read configuration files, device files, or plist files that you voluntarily place in the App's local directory, select through system file features, or that iOS syncs to the App directory.

These files may contain device identifiers, pairing parameters, configuration names, or parameters required for local connection. The App uses them only for local feature decisions, configuration matching, and display. We do not actively upload, sell, or share the content of these files.

You may delete these files in the iOS Files app or in relevant App pages. After deletion, features that depend on these files may no longer work.

6. Device Permissions

The App may request necessary system permissions when you actively use related features:

• System VPN configuration permission: used to create and manage the local virtual network interface, display connection status, and perform local debugging;
• Local network permission: used to discover LAN services, check private LAN IP status, and display local network information;
• File access capability: used when you actively select, save, or read configuration files, device files, or plist files in the App's local directory;
• Photos permission: used only when you actively upload images or screenshots, or save generated content;
• Location permission: used only when a feature needs approximate location, weather, or place context and only after you authorize it;
• Network access: used for speed test requests, App content loading, or necessary online service requests that you actively trigger.

You may refuse permission or disable it in iOS Settings. Some features may not work after permission is disabled, but other features that do not rely on that permission will not be affected.

7. Storage and Security

• VPN configuration, local network diagnostic results, connection logs, configuration-file matching results, and App settings are stored on your device by default;
• After you uninstall the App, data stored locally on your device may be deleted together with the App, depending on iOS behavior;
• We take reasonable and necessary security measures to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, use, modification, or disclosure.

8. Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure

Except for the following situations, we do not sell your personal information or share, transfer, or disclose your information to unrelated third parties:

• As required by applicable laws, legal procedures, or mandatory requests from competent authorities;
• In the event of merger, division, acquisition, or asset transfer, if relevant information needs to be transferred, we will require the new holder to continue to be bound by this Privacy Policy or equivalent protection standards.

We do not sell your personal information. VPN functionality and local network diagnostic data are not used for ad tracking, user profiling, data sale, or purposes unrelated to local debugging and technical testing.

9. Children

The App is not specifically directed to children. If you are under 18, please read this Privacy Policy and use the App under the guidance of your guardian.

If we become aware that we have processed information related to a minor without appropriate guardian consent, we will take necessary measures such as deletion or cessation of processing in accordance with law.

10. Your Rights

You can manage your information and permissions in the following ways:

• Delete or modify content you voluntarily enter, save, or generate in the App;
• Manage VPN configuration, local network, photos, location, and other permissions in iOS Settings;
• Delete configuration files or device files that you voluntarily place in the App directory through the iOS Files app;
• Contact us using the contact information in this Policy to request access, correction, or deletion of information related to you.

11. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy due to legal requirements, regulatory requirements, feature changes, or service changes. If there are material changes, we will notify you through prominent in-app notices or other reasonable methods.
